Day 1 Arrival in Puglia – Welcome dinner
Arrival in Puglia region. We suggest to flight to Bari international airport.
Upon request we will arrange for you a private transfer from the airport/train station to your Hotel.
After dropping off your bags at your Hotel, take advantage of a leisure time to rest up.
In the afternoon your local guide will wait you at the reception for the welcome in Puglia and to give you all the information for the tour.
Your Puglia experience begins with a welcome dinner based on traditional local specialties and wine!
Day 2 Matera UNESCO site
In the morning visit of Matera city that was elected the European capital of culture 2019. Matera is a UNESCO World Heritage Site best known for the Sassi di Matera, an ancient city with houses that have been excavated in the rock and that have been lived since the Paleolithic era. Rupestrian churches, houses, caves, and ancient streets create a unique and suggestive landscape, where Mel Gibson chose to shoot the film, The Passion of the Christ.
Walking tour through the unique Sassi di Matera and visit of a Casa Grotta (ancient cave house) fully furnished as it was in the past.
Lunch at your leisure. Your guide will suggest you local restaurants where to eat authentic and typical dishes. Return to the Hotel.
Day 3 Polignano a Mare – Bari
Today we will visit Polignano a Mare, a characteristic Mediterranean fishing village that stands on a rocky cliff. Guided walking tour through the historical downtown with its houses and terraces directly overlooking the sea and ice cream tasting in a local Gelateria, where you can enjoy an authentic hand-made ice cream. Polignano is famous for its hand crafted ice cream!
Lunch in a local restaurant based on traditional Apulian seafood and wine.
In the afternoon visit of Bari, Puglia's capital city. Walking tour through the old city, the seaport and visit of the famous Basilica of San Nicola which houses the relics of the Bari’s Patron Saint. Along Bari’s stylish boulevards and city streets, you can find shops with prestigious and high fashion designers. Bari is ideal for shopping!
Return to the Hotel.
Day 4 Mozzarella tasting – Alberobello UNESCO site – Locorotondo
In the morning we will visit a local farm famous for the production of Apulian organic cheese. You can taste freshly hand-made excellent Mozzarella and other Apulian cheeses!
Then enjoy unique sightseeing of Alberobello “the capital of Trulli houses”, a UNESCO Site. Trulli are ancient 14th century stone houses with a round shape and a conical roof. Guided walking tour along the Trulli district “Rione Monti” and visit to St Anthony’s Church, the unique trullo church in the world.
Lunch in a local restaurant with Apulian food paired with local wine.
In the afternoon visit of Locorotondo, the old town layout follows a circular plan, with narrow and concentric arranged streets lined with whitewashed houses called Cummerse. Return to the Hotel.
Day 5 Ostuni – Extra virgin olive oil experience in Masseria
In the morning visit of Ostuni, best known as the “white city”, for its historical downtown houses completely white painted. Walking tour along the ancient walls, where some of the most picturesque spots are visible. Then we will move to the Apulian countryside and visit a beautiful and elegant Masseria of 1600 who produces organic extra-virgin olive oil, organic vegetables and fruits. Extra virgin olive oil tasting where we will explain you how to recognize a real Extra Virgin Olive Oil and which are its health benefits. Lunch based on organic food and extra virgin olive oil. Return to the Hotel.
Day 6 Otranto – Apulian wine tasting
In the morning after your check-out, we will move to Salento area, the South part of Puglia region and we will visit Otranto, the highest point in eastern Italy. It is full of interesting sights to visit while wandering through the town’s maze of narrow streets and passages. Walking through the historical downtown you can admire the ancient cathedral and the medieval castle. Lunch at your leisure. In the afternoon we will visit a local winery with tasting of different varieties of Apulian wines: white, rosè and the red. Check-in at your Hotel in Lecce city.
Day 7 Lecce “the Florence of the Southern Italy”
Today we will visit Lecce, the main city of the Salento area. The superb beauty of its churches and elegant noble buildings attracts a great number of visitors, because this city is the capital of the Baroque art in the South. For this reason, Lecce is called “the Florence of the Southern Italy”.
Guided walking tour through the historical center with the Duomo of Lecce, the 2nd century Roman amphitheater and the beautiful Basilica of Santa Croce. Lecce is also famous for the cartapesta (papier-mâché art). Enjoy yourself walking in the historical downtown of Lecce and discover the papier-mâché workshops where artisans create hand-made statues and puppets with the same techniques as in the past!
In the evening Arrivederci Dinner based on traditional Italian dishes and wine.
Day 8 Departure
After breakfast your guide will provide you with details about your Hotel check-out.
Upon request we can arrange for you private transfer to the airport/train station.

Puglia cuisine has so many ways to cook legumes and vegetables that they aren’t only used as a side dish, but as a complete meal. That is why it is an ideal cuisine also for vegetarians.
Learn and share the secrets of an ancient cuisine, handed down for centuries from mother to daughter. Enjoy yourself with a hands-on cooking class. Discover incredible underground karst caves formed by rainwater in the course of the centuries! A wonderful tour in the caves to 70 meters deep in an amazing setting made of stalactites, stalagmites, fossils, cavities, caves by fantastic names. Two itineraries are provided to visit the Grotte di Castellana:
• Complete itinerary, that lasts 2 hours and is 3 kilometers long
• Partial itinerary, that lasts 50 minutes and is 1 kilometer long.

Payment terms and conditions
The Client is required to pay a deposit of 30% of total amount per person per trip for the booking to be confirmed (not refundable).
The balance, 70% of total amount per person, will be paid within 30 days before arrival date in Puglia.
Bank transfer - Credit Card
Acceptance of booking
When the Tour Operator receives the Client transfer, the Tour Operator will accept the Client booking and the Tour Operator will issue a confirmation invoice.
Payment of the balance of the trip price is due 30 days before the departure date.
If this balance is not paid on or before the due date, the Tour Operator reserves the right to cancel the booking.
If the Client cancels some or all portions of the booking cancellation fees will apply. A cancellation will only be effective when the Tour Operator receives written confirmation of the cancellation.
If the Client cancels a trip:
- After the Client has made the final payment, 50% of the full payment will be reimbursed.
- Less than 5 days before arrival date, the Tour Operator will retain 100% of the total price of entire trip booked.
- Any reduction in the duration of the stay will be considered a cancellation.
- In the event of a “no show” or early departure, the Tour Operator will retain a penalty of 100% of the entire trip booked.
If the Client abandons a trip for any reason after its commencement, the Tour Operator is not obliged to make any refunds.
